My first impression of the Docs product was 'wow, that's a nice sized bottle!' I've borrowed it from my mum who bought it in a pack with a cuticle oil and a top coat, the top coat is again 30ml and the oil is probably less than half that, but oh well. So the instructions are to paint two coats the first day, then a coat every day for five more days. Then nothing for two and then you start over. Sound confusing? Well, with a memory like mine it was a bit, I kept forgetting where I was up to and found that frustrating. I also didn't like how you couldn't paint over it with a polish in the meantime.

Application of the product is fairly straight forward though you need plenty on the brush. I noticed that it got a bit sticky on a few nails and left that horrible patchy look on my nails. I wanted them to look shiny and healthy! But that was a no go apparently.

I didn't notice much change over the first week. My nails didn't chip or peel as much as they have before so that is something, they don't seem to be much stronger though as in the second week they chipped almost daily! Also on the second week I noticed another big change, again not in a good way. The polish was turning my nails yellow! Yuck. About two thirds through the second week I tried my best to remove it but a lot of it was stubborn. I even used acetone and I could still feel residue! :(

All in all I don't really think the Docs Revitanail works for me but when I've seen the results on my mum I will honestly say it works for her. So I suppose you just have to try it for yourself unfortunately. I'm not sure if I'd recommend it to be honest because I've heard it does magic for some people yet for me it turned out a bit gross. It seems this product is quite unreliable.
Anyway. The 30ml bottle comes in at around $22 and can be found at most chemists and in packs at Priceline. Let me know if you try it and what your results were!

At the moment I'm using Hard as Nails Hardener by Sally Hansen so I'll post up a review in a week or so.

It's been a few months, I've been under a heap of stress and that has in turn ruined my nails. They're frail; they peel, chip and snap. Nail art doesn't work right now :( Anyway, lots of bloggers do a weekly wishlist thingy and I thought it would be fun to share what I've been eyeing as of late. It's a birthday/christmas thing because I'm greedy and it's a big list. Haha. So, onward!

I come with three designs today, two on myself (to which I am sporting now) and another on one of my lovely friends, Aly. So, without further ado, here we go!

I know it's been a while again but things have been a bit hectic so here's another huge update. I'm not going to list what I used again this time because I'm too lazy right now, lol, but if there is a product you want to know about ask and I'll see if I can remember it! So, on with the show. Yay, pun in my title :D

As a horror fan, Friday the 13th was an awesome day and super cool night :D My lovely girlfriend, Tina and I went to the cinema to see Scream 4 on this devilish night with super goth make-up and fake blood dripping down our chins. It was great seeing people's reactions, I can't wait for the Adelaide Zombie Walk!

So anywho, I painted my nails for this event too. I will say before I share the photo that any fan of horror- wait, any fan of 90's movies go see Scream 4! It had the excellent element of the 90's tongue in cheek and cheese and had today's super gory styled killings too. It was really fun to watch, I totally recommend it. Now.. on to the point of this blog.. the nails!

The are really simply but all the posters for the film were so I thought I'd go with that... I splashed in a bit of red just so it wasn't too boring.
What I used: Sally Hansen in Black Out, nail art striper in white and a generic red that I got in a make-up pack.

Thanks for looking :D Have a great day!

I watched Spirited Away a few days ago and as always cooed and awed when the soot sprites appeared. They're so darn adorable! It's not the best photo for colour representation but the sun has been cheeky these last few days so please forgive me.

What I used: Mode Cosmetics in VIP, Mode Cosmetics in Pearl, Models Prefer in Minty Fresh, Models Prefer in Pink Tart, Sportsgirl in Lace, Eyeko Pastel Polish (blue), nail art stripers in white and pale yellow, Beautiful Nails BO14 (black)

I'm okay with how they turned out, I'm pretty sure I'll be trying Soot Sprites again so I think I'll try another technique with making them look fluffy.

Anywho, thanks for looking! Have an awesome day :)

Alrighty so a few weeks ago (maybe) a fellow nail blogger and geek Diana was selling some nail polishes and I of course had to grab a few. One being Eyeko's Vintage Polish. It's a very cute green. I also grabbed Orly Space Cadet and China Glaze Ick-A-Bod-y. I'm having a bit of a green binge so I've just been playing with the Vintage Polish mostly. Not that the other polishes aren't divine!

First off I came up with this minty leopard which I loved. This is two coats of the Vintage Polish, I also used my nail striper in while and Sportsgirl's Oasis

Then in between my friend, Jade offered to do some acrylic nails for me. These are probably the longest I've had acrylics and I've never really had glitter tips so this was all very exciting. If you follow the link you can check out the nails she did for me, they are freaking gorgeous!

Anyway, after a few days of 'bare' nails the need to paint them became to strong and it took me ages to decide what to do because I didn't want to cover up the pretty! I decided on some cute bows and used the Vintage Polish again. This time one coat over a white base so it looks a lot more blue. Also used for this were nail stripers in white, black and green.

All in all I have fun playing with Eyeko's Vintage Polish. Now with the new bottles (which are nowhere near as cute as the originals) the polish doesn't dry up or go gooey, which is kinda a plus. I'm sure you all know this already anyway!

So thanks for looking, check out my friends; you won't regret it! Also.. 56 followers now! I need to do some kind of giveaway!! Suggestions?
